OAC mailing box

Final piece of the OAC mailing box.

It's a mailing box for the citizens suggestions.

It takes the shape of the existing furniture.

The closing key it set in the middle, as a "house window".

The piece is in varnished black MDF.

The paper is protected by the shape but gently escapes to be easy to take.

All can be opened for easy maintenance.

The open piece brings to our mind some kind of housing icon.

It's gently set above the floor to create a shadow.

The glass is embedded in the material, being easy to be replaced.

The "interior" space has some spatial qualities that remember other architecture projects, being part of the studio guidelines.

This time in Barcelona!

Place in Barcelona

This time we were asked for a flexible solution and to emphasise the online service

To do so we put away the "autoservice" furniture and added the online service in the rest of the furniture

First we tested one continuous and a broken model, being the continuous the one chosen by the client

Actual state of the place

View from the attention side

The public part is allways near the street

Attention happens in the lower, more intimate part

The continuous line grows towards the entrance to create a counter

In the ground floor is very evident the continuity of the gesture

This project is part of the "oac" family with Ave Maria Hall and OAC Girona. In first one, counters were the main part, in the second one tables became the most prominent part and in this third one closets became the space definers.
