Aigua de Ribes

The wall has been finally constructed!
Now we'll have to come with a nice colour scheme...
Some photos of the wall in place and construction process:

The two inferior rows are small dark colored stones.

The intermediate one is small light colored stones.

The upper one is big dark colored stones.

Color changes will be maximized when the rain takes a way the dust.

The wall change dramatically the appareance according to light.

Or to the views.

Having several material qualities.

A small resting area is created.

Dinopolis - Teruel

Last week we went to see the Dinopolis construction-site.

Working with the constructing company has some disadvantages and some parts of the project will be changed (it's part of the deal!), but I think the defining elements will stay there... let's wait to see how it ends!

Dinopolis - Teruel

The project keeps going. Some minor changes are done to fine tune the plan but it keeps going fullspeed!
We went last week to meet the constructing company + checking the state of the works.

They are digging now the hole for the moving seats.

Entrance space is clear, pre-show (mineral) too and now the big question mark is how to give characther to the show space

There are two options:

Keeping the whole space:
-leaves the installations free to manipulate
-keeps the industrial character of the room

Creating a new ceiling
-keeps the installations behind a ceiling
-makes the space more domestic

Whole space options:

Give character with some free shapes that act as illumination.

Leave a band of "black landscape" and painting heraklit with a landscape

new space options:

keeping the plants (preshow - show = mineral - natural)

the new space is a night sky (preshow - show = closed - open space)

Carretera Secundaria exhibition

Or how architecture can meet other disciplines. Version 2. At COAC.

When we did the first exhibition, people from the COAC (Official Architecture Organization from Catalonia) came to ask us to make it again, this time in an small exhibition space they have for emergent architecture. If the first time the main idea was a road, this time we climbed the road to the roof and made it a path to the exhibition space, not very visible from the street.


So the first decission was where to end this path that would bring people to this space.


The exhibited pieces would be sourrounded by mesh cilinders to protect them, who were bigger or smaller, and ware placed below the piece, at it's high or even higher, depending on the object presented.


This mesh started as ciliders but once there they got deformed.


And became "gosthy" shapes illuminated by the existing light.


The existing light was another of the subjects to play with.


This space had different colored lights that we decided to use: a general violet light for the exhibition and some bright white concentred light for the pieces exhibited.

But finally made it's function.
